Expressions Elite New York is an Amateur Athletic Union basketball program, and is a grassroots organization, originally founded as the Shockers in 2015, located a few hours upstate of New York City, out of Schenectady, New York. The program was established by Daniel Smalls, a former Schenectady High School standout and collegiate player, whose vision of a family-based, local basketball program that is accessible and affordable to all families, has grown into an AAU national-championship winning program, in less than a decade. In 2022, the Shockers made the move to join the Expressions Elite family, a member of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), and begin a New York chapter. Our inaugural season as Expressions Elite NY proved a huge success. We pride ourselves in not only our product on the court, but the character in which our players holds themselves off the court, and instill the lessons learned through the great game of basketball to apply in life.
